Medusa Development is a construction company and Urban Micro-Developer prioritizing preservation,  economic empowerment, and, environmental responsibility in construction.  We strive to create strong communities, well paying jobs, female empowerment, skill-building and educational opportunities -while creating beautiful quality housing for first time home buyers. 

We purchase and restore demo-at-risk properties in order to preserve Buffalo's architectural heritage for future generations, and create affordable new housing from reclaimed materials.    

Our target focus is Victorian Workers Cottages -  which are single-family working-class homes from the 18th and early 19th century.  Many of these homes showcase excellence in craftsmanship, as they were often built by the artisans that lived in them. These beautiful remnants of Buffalo's blue-collar heritage typically range in size from 500 to 1500 sqft., and are situated on standard city lots in walkable neighborhoods. Workers cottages are adored across the US from (Chicago) to (Minnesota), to the colorful shotgun houses of New Orleans!  High ceilings, functional kitchens, & large light filled rooms are hallmarks of this architectural style.
