Medusa Development is a construction company and Urban Micro-Developer prioritizing preservation, economic empowerment, and, environmental responsibility in construction. We strive to create strong communities, well paying jobs, female empowerment, skill-building and educational opportunities -while creating beautiful quality housing for first time home buyers.
We purchase and restore demolition-at-risk properties in order to preserve Buffalo's architectural heritage for future generations.
Our target focus is the restoration of Victorian Workers Cottages - which are single-family working-class homes from the 18th and early 19th century. These beautiful remnants of Buffalo's blue-collar heritage typically range in size from 500 to 1500 sqft., and are situated on standard city lots in walkable neighborhoods. Workers cottages are adored across the US from Chicago (Chicago) to Minnesota (Minnesota), to the colorful shotgun houses of New Orleans! High ceilings, functional kitchens, & large light filled rooms are hallmarks of this architectural style.
